10 x 7 3/4 in.In the words of the artist’s wife, Victoria Mary Clarke, “The Bim and Dim characters began as a strip cartoon series in the official Pogues fanzine ‘Ord Na Hone’ which was produced and edited by Shane’s sister Siobhan, also a talented writer. Bim and Dim are based on Shane’s North London friends Danny Wright and Paul O Connell, but it also features the characters Noddy and Big Ears based on himself and another friend also called Paul. The series started in 1986 and was intended to continue indefinitely. These drawings feature the return of Bim and Dim and a rather dark Bim and Dim Christmas Special ‘May Death Be Your Santa Claus’."Provenance
