Flowers is part of a portfolio of five silkscreen prints created by Keith Haring in 1990. Produced in the last year of Haring's life, shortly before his tragic death from AIDS-related complications, the print offers a vibrant and celebratory homage to a similar portfolio by his friend and fellow artist, Andy Warhol. The print features flowers depicted in an abstract, graffiti-inspired style. The paint appears to drip from the forms, and Haring’s use of colour is intentionally uneven and spontaneous.
