30 May - 3 June 2000
Introduction
"In a world where everything shrieks and cries out loud, he hardly whispers while he leads us into his noiseless world..."

Join us at This 555 exhibition at Andipa, where 5 paintings from Nicola Pucci will be exhibited, each 5 thousand pounds.

Born in Palermo in 1966, Nicola Pucci describes himself as “An observer of human behaviours and the relationship between people, animals and objects” with his aim being to create “a world where improbable situation becomes a metaphor for life”. In this exhibition the aforementioned themes can be seen throughout the works. Pucci’s main influence is Francis Bacon, whose passion, and attitude towards painting and subject matter is a constant source of inspiration for Pucci.

“I have found in Nicola Pucci’s paintings what I have been seeking for a long time: The language of silence. It permeates his work and expresses itself through his characters and wonderfully soft colours. In a world where everything shrieks and cries out loud, he hardly whispers while he leads us into his noiseless world” – Marco Gambino
